XYZprinting and DWS Introducing New 3D Printers at RAPID + TCT 2018

This week’s RAPID + TCT conference in Fort Worth, Texas is home to a dizzying assortment of new product launches as the large North American event continues. New 3D printers are emerging at a fast pace – and with high speeds.

In November, XYZprinting announced a partnership with Nexa3D, which makes professional, ultra-fast SLA 3D printers. Now, the two are announcing the first preview of their new MfgPro220 xPF 3D printer at RAPID.

The MfgPro220 xPF, powered by Nexa3D’s proprietary Lubricant Sublayer Photo-curing (LSPc) technology and patented structured light matrix that reaches speeds of 1 cm per minute, is the first ultra-fast 3D printer presented by the companies together, and comes with an extended build volume of 16 liters – twice the amount of its competitors. Another feature it offers over other contenders is its affordability: the $19,950 MfgPro220 xPF is a fifth of the cost of equivalent systems.

“High-speed 3D printing is the next competitive frontier in additive manufacturing. These printers are prized by end-users, strategic partners and resellers alike for their capacity to quickly produce high-precision projects, offering new possibilities for innovative design and production,” said XYZprinting Senior Vice President Michele Marchesan.

The new MfgPro220 xPF 3D printer, configured to run with both on-board and cloud controls for in-situ and remote operations as either a single printer or a full factory, uses deep machine learning algorithms to slice, optimize, and compile geometries at high resolution and uniform speed. Its integrated sensors and cognitive software work together to optimize manufacturing part performance, offer continuous modeling, and provide detailed diagnostics.
