Director Material Scientist
Praveen Tummala is an experienced technical leader with demonstrated history of interdisciplinary R&D management and intellectual property management in the high tech industry. As Director of Technology at XponentialWorks, he works with corporate clients and portfolio companies, offering expert technical guidance and leading various product and process development activities. Before joining XponentialWorks, Tummala spent 10 years at 3D Systems, where he led materials and process development activities for various 3D printing technologies. Prior to 3D Systems, he developed materials for extrusion and injection molding processes for applications in the automotive industry. Tummala holds a Bachelors Degree in chemical engineering from Andhra University and a Masters Degree in materials science and engineering from Michigan State University. Tummala’s specialties include product development, process development, IP assets management, materials science, additive manufacturing, material composites, polymer blends and alloys, nano materials, plastics processing, material surfaces and interfaces, adhesion science, materials testing and analysis.
