Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer
Before joining XponentialWorks, Stephen has been as a partner for over 10 years at a Boston-based private equity firm, Kamylon Holdings, where he was instrumental in leading the firm’s holdings through challenging transformational stages on their growth paths. He proved to be particularly adept at building strong management teams, cultivating performance cultures, and institutionalizing the operational best practices that allow smaller companies to scale profitably.
Prior to his Private Equity experience, Stephen served as an Operational Leader and Executive Director at 3D Systems Inc. (NYSE:DDD) where he held positions as Vice President of Operations and Services. Earlier career stops include 2 years leading the Performance Improvement function as a Senior Director with the Fortune500 packaging firm Sealed Air Corp (NYSE: SEE) and 4 years as a project manager with the strategy consultancy McKinsey & Co. Stephen began his professional career as a 12-year officer and aviator in the U.S Coast Guard where he held key positions in Operations and Supply Chain Management and received more than a dozen awards for leadership and heroism as a helicopter search and rescue pilot.
Stephen received his undergraduate degree in Management (with a minor in Physics) from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and obtained his aviation wings from U.S. Navy Flight School. He earned his MBA from the London Business School and is currently working on his Masters in Applied Data Science from the University of Michigan.
