3D Printing Leadership Forum: Pivoting to Balance COVID-19 Response with Evolving Business Demands

April 16 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

As the fight against COVID-19 continues, we’re seeing more companies joining the frontlines to help. How are additive manufacturing companies finding their unique offering in this battle while making the pivot to remain relevant during the pandemic and beyond?

In this 45-minute virtual forum moderated by XponentialWorks founder Avi Reichental, participants will hear from panelists on:

  • How to make a positive social impact while remaining financially viable
  • Maximizing design agility and quickly developing new products under shifting circumstances
  • Pivoting to find business relevance in the face of unprecedented change
  • Adapting business models to fall in line with new production processes and supply chains

The discussion will be followed by a live Q&A where panelists will answer questions.

About the Panelists

Garrett Gerson is the chief executive officer of Calamigos Ranch, an award-winning event center, resort and filming location in Malibu, California. In the mid-2000s, Garrett founded the women’s sportswear line Sjobeck Malibu, which was sold in over 200 high-end boutiques worldwide. His second apparel line was YSTR, which he later evolved into Variant, a patent-approved technology platform that creates customized knitwear. Garrett was driven to develop Variant as a sustainable solution for designers – by integrating technology into the knitwear manufacturing process, he reduced materials waste by only producing items once they are ordered by the customer.  He is passionate about leveraging technology to create more sustainable hospitality and fashion brands.

Arturo Donghi is the founder and CEO of Sharebot, a dynamic company devoted to developing high precision, reliable, and easy to use 3D printers. The Sharebot aim is to provide the perfect tool to optimize the professional workflow and transform any desk into a personal creation center. Arturo’s inspiration for Sharebot came from hearing about Andrea Radaelli, one of the first people in Italy to create a 3D printer and who is now head of R&D for the company.
